The LAP 32nd Annual Clerical Conference will begin on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2026, and will conclude Monday, Dec. 7, 2026, by 3:30 p.m.  All school secretaries, clerks, administrative assistants, and central office staff are encouraged to attend this professional conference.

Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th and 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7th. 

Registration fees are $225  until November 24, 2026.  After November 24th there will be an additional $25.00 late fee.  Registration fees include continental breakfast, lunch, sodas/coffee, door prizes, etc. 

 

This year's theme is "StepUp! -7 Steps to Becoming a Highly Successful Clerical Professional"
This year we are pleased to announce that a representative from the Louisiana Institute of Administrative Assistants (LIAA) will be at the conference. LIAA is a professional program designed for office personnel pursuing the highest standards of excellence.  It offers quality workshops featuring nationally recognized speakers and job-focused topics designed to enhance administrative and managerial skills, improve oral and written communication, manage change and cope with stress, develop solutions to workplace problems, increase productivity, improve interpersonal skills, and deal effectively with difficult people. 

The Double Tree has reserved a limited block of rooms for conference participants.  Room rates are $99 + tax.   The Double Tree reservation number is 800-222-TREE (8733).  or using the Hotel provided booking link by Sunday, November 22, 2026. They must identify themselves as members of Louisiana Association of Principals - Clerical Conference. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card.

Check in Time: 4:00 p., December 6th / Check Out Time: 12:00 Noon

Guests checking out prior to the confirmed departure date will result in a $50.00 early departure administrative fee.
